This travel story will help you learn Russian vocabulary and expressions to use when planning a trip to Russia, booking a flight, checking into a hotel, buying a beautiful matryoshka, going to a theatre to see legendary Swan Lake, ordering a delicious set of Russian caviar in a restaurant etc.

Russian for Travellers is ideal for intermediate students who want to improve their conversational fluency before they travel to Russia. Organised into 12 units, it presents realistic everyday travel dialogues with lots of conversation-ready phrases. Each dialogue is also followed by a variety of exercises that give the opportunity to put new Russian words and expressions into action and encourage you to construct your own personalised conversations.

Each unit includes:​

• An audio conversation with a script to improve your listening & comprehension skills

• Flashcards to learn new travel vocabulary with correct pronunciation

• Various tasks  (multiple-choice, true or false, written English-Russian translation)  to practise what you've learnt

• Thought-provoking questions with sample answers to increase your fluency

• Role-play assignments to practise with your friend or teacher so you sound like a local

 

Please note this is a conversational self-paced Russian course for B1+ language level students which does not include a grammar section.
